The Loeffler Randall Crinkled Patent Satchel

Thursday, February 28th, 2008 at 8:15 am

Any self respecting girl knows that the key to a great outfit is a complementary bag. Here is one that that I am absolutely coveting for spring by Loeffler Randall. The husband and wife design team behind the brand always manage to create cute, feminine pieces without seeming cheesy, and this bag is no exception. I love the knotted handles and it’s roomy shape. It looks like the perfect sized bag to fit in all your daily essentials without being too big and bulky. Get yours for $685 at Eluxury in either black or creme.

P.S. If you haven’t already, you can still catch Loeffler Randall’s lower priced line for Target. But hurry- the goodies are only around until March 28th!!!

We all think of the Oscars as the award show of all award shows, there’s the infamous red carpet style and fashion, the high profile celebs and of course the swank Oscar parties. BUT, the parties aren’t all about who’s who and who’s wearing what. This year, IWC Schaffhausen has joined the fight for the environment and supported Global Green USA’s 5th annual Pre-Oscar party. The Swiss Watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen sponsored the exclusive VIP Lounge with unique environmental installations! Such celebrities like Adrian Grenier and Salma Hayek attended the fab event and joined CEO of IWC Schaffhausen Georges Kern in the IWC Patron Lounge and Atrium at Global Green USA’s 5th Annual Pre Oscar Party, raising awareness about smart climate solutions and benefiting the green rebuilding of New Orleans, at Avalon Hollywood on February 20, 2008 in Los Angeles, California.

Platform Mary-Janes on the Rise

I love love love heels. Love them! I am fairly short so I jump at the chance to wear 4 inch heels whenever I can. I love the fact that sky-high heels are popular now and not considered “hooker-ish”. There have been a lot of e-mails inquiring about the platform mary-jane pumps seen at Fashion Week, Awards Shows, etc. Unfortunately not all of us have an expendable budget to purchase a pair of $600 Yves Saint Laurent shoes (sigh). But not to fret, I have come up with the closest pairs I could find for you savvy fashionistas on a budget. And for those of you, like me, who love their heels but hate the pain, check out Foot Petals. They’re little cushions you put in your heels to make them more comfortable. I own them and have them in every pair of my shoes. They come in all colors so check them out!

Clockwise from top left:

  • BCBGirls “Lara” - Endless - $109.95
  • Linea Paolo “Beautie” - Nordstrom - $109.95
  • BCBirls “Lora” - Endless - $109.95
  • BCBGirls “Lara” - Endless - $109.95
  • Michael Antonio “Paddington” - Cutesy Girl - $32.99
