Maybelline Cool Effect Cooling Shadow/Liner

maybelline cool effect cooling shadow liner

I’m all about the two in one products. Less hassle and less space, what’s not to like? And if you haven’t realized by now, Maybelline is by far my favorite non-high end make up brand. Every product they make is quality. The Maybelline Cool Effect Cooling Shadow/Liner is no exception. I love it as a liner because it glides on so smooth! The formula contains aloe, cucumber and glycerin so it also doesn’t irritate my extremely sensitive eyes.

As a liner it gives you a nice shimmery, very pretty look. I have never tried it as a shadow and I probably won’t because I think it would be a little thick for me…but I would still whole heartedly recommend this product.

Maybelline’s Legend; Great Lash Mascara

Last but not least from the beauty products tested on the Rachael Ray Show for the “Human Lab” segement was Maybelline’s Great Lash Mascara, also rated as a best buy according to InStyle Magazine. (See my prior two posts Get Endless Kissable Lips and Virtually A Touch Proof Liquid Foundation for the other two products also tested on this show) This masacara was tested on the mother of the bride the day of her daughter’s wedding. I mean what better way to test this product then when tears of joy are shed. Not once during the ceremony did the mother’s masacara run! Now that’s waterproof.

Cost: About $6

Purchase at your local drugstore. Or you can get 6 at Amazon. Click to purchase Maybelline Great Lash Washable Mascara, Very Black - 6 Each.

Jennifer Lopez was sent some Elizabeth Grant’s Caviar Rejuvenating Eye Pads and can’t live without it. A spokeswoman for the beauty product company tells Life & Style magazine, “We sent them to her after she had the babies, and she loved them so much she had her press agent call and request more. “She’s got tired eyes and loves the way these soak right into her skin.”

Bring Out Your Skin Tone With These Eye Shadow Shades

I have hazel eyes with pale skin so I usually like light colors like blue and green, but according to Real Simple yellow is my best color. I would have probably not given yellow a shot, but I guess I’ll give it a try. If you’re interested to know what yours is, check out their Best Eye Shadow Shades for All Skin Tones.

Rimmel Underground Spark It Up Eye Liner

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008 at 8:25 am

I had to go to Long’s to pick up some light bulbs, because I was writing in the dark, when I came across Rimmel Underground Spark It Up Eye Liner’s for %40 off. I love a deal and I love an eyeliner. So I picked it up and rushed home to try it on. First I just have to say I was surprised by the quality of the eye liner. Cheap eye liners tend to be very dry and hard to use. This one glided on with super pigmented color and best of all it cost me about $2.50. Spark It Up are black eyeliners with a hint of sparkle and another color. The have an assortment of amazing colors like Ultraviolet and Peridot. The Ultraviolet doesn’t come across as bright at all, more like black with just a shimmer of purple.

Cost: $2.99

Purchase at your local drugstore.

FYI: Rimmel Underground is their new line and it’s a lot like the “HiP” line for L’Oreal.
