Clairol Professional Shimmer Lights Original
It’s been awhile since I’ve been blond. Summer is just around the corner and I’m kind of looking forward to maybe getting some highlights, just brushed on the tips so I get a nice sun-kissed look. It will go great with my fake tan.
For color treated hair, I know a secret. The full name of this product is Clairol Professional Shimmer Lights Original Conditioning Shampoo for Gray, White, Highlighted and Light Blonde Tinted Hair. That’s a long name. I think “Shimmer Lights” is the key phrase to remember, because if you lighten your hair that what this product does, make the light parts shimmer. Really great for keeping color true.
I hate it when my highlights go brassy.
Back in the day, you could only find this kind of thing at a beauty supply store (not retail). That’s why I love the internet!
Oh, by the way, it’s a very thick, deep purple liquid that lathers up in a shade of lavender. Don’t let that freak you out. Leave on for about 5 minutes, comb through and then rinse completely.
Cost: $11.49

Do they have something like this for Brunettes?
March 14th, 2008 @ 2:21 pmFor dull, flat color, try John Frieda brilliant brunette shampoo, conditions and stylers. I have used these in the past and they really do seem to make dark hair richer while adding shine to the lighter shades of brown. I liked the shampoo and finishing creme.
