Jergens Soft Shimmer Skin Radiance Moisturizer

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008 at 8:08 am

Jergen’s

Jergens Soft Shimmer Skin Radiance Moisturizer is literally the product that I have to use every single day during the summer. If I am wearing shorts, skirt or a bathing suit, I will not leave the house before putting it on my legs. I love love LOVE the subtle shimmer that it gives me. I even use it during the middle of winter in order to avoid being so pale that I look like the living dead.

If you’re too scared to try the self tanner, gradual glow product than this is the lotion for you. You get just a tiny hint of a glow to your skin without actually changing your skin color!

Cost:$8

MD Skincare All-In-One Facial Cleanser w/ Toner

Treat yourself, or the man in your life, with this fabulous two-in-one product.

A lot of guys don’t like to use a ton of products and I can totally understand that. It gets complicated and honestly you don’t want to use too many different things at once. All that will end up doing is confusing the heck out of your skin and potentially leading to disaster when it revolts, breaking out all over the place out of sheer frustration.

Simplify. The MD Skincare line is a little more high-end, but definitely worth the splurge.

Cost: $35

Garnier Nutrisse Hair Color

Most of the time I suck it up and pay a hundred bucks to get my hair professionally colored, but just recently I cut my hair short and because I went to a new salon it ended up costing me much more than I expected. Which meant I was broke for another couple weeks and since my hair was pretty short and all I really wanted was my hair to be a rich auburn brown, I went over to my local Walgreens and picked up some home hair color.

I decided to go with Garnier Nutrisse because they have an amazing after color conditioner and for some reason my hair always looks exceptionally natural and still soft. I went two shades darker and one part red and it came out perfectly and I even received compliments on it. The product is easy to use and has a no drip formula, it doesn’t smell horrible, and the conditioner will last you awhile. Over all it’s my favorite home hair color and I definitely recommend it to all who want to save $50 bucks and do it themselves.

Cost:$6.99.

Mascara Beauty Trend

A big trend right now is colored mascara and before you think it’s a “young” thing, trust me it’s an “everyone” thing. If you have dark brown eyes than I suggest you head over to Sephora and buy benefit’s BADgal blue mascara because my best friend Lena tried it on and holy smokes did it make her eyes look great. Trust me it doesn’t go on super bright. It actually ends up just being just a hint of color that picks up the brown in your eyes.

If you’re a hazel, or green eyed gal, like myself, then try the Almay Intense I-Color in purple amethyst. When you read the blurb it says it’s for brown eyes, but the rule is navy for brown and purple for green or hazel. Trust me on this it works.

If you prefer a more night time look, or simply something that’s more fun then I highly recommend Lacome’s FATAL Brilliant mascara which says it coats each lash with ” the perfect amount of sparkle…..So brilliant it looks like your lashes are made of diamonds“. I don’t know about diamonds, but it definitely adds something extra and by no means does it look childish.

Cost: Almay is $7.49. benefit is $19.00. Lancome is $23.00.
