Organic products are turning up everywhere, in food, clothes and beauty! A lot of women products have been seen following this trend, but what about the men’s? According to an article, Love Your Man With All Natural Body Care, on The Today’s Show website says:

Whether you’re a guy who goes all the way — with eye cream, facial toner, lip balm and more — or a toothpaste-shampoo-bar-of-soap minimalist, now is the time to make the transition from conventional personal care products to organic and all natural.

I know we usually think of just ourselves when it comes to beauty, but let’s not forget our men!

American Crew Peppermint Cleanse

I’m an American Crew convert.

While yes, almost all shampoos contain the same active ingredient, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, it’s the other stuff that makes the difference. Some products will leave your hair feeling dry and looking like straw. There is no point in saving money if you don’t look cute.

Of course, everyone has different hair care needs, but in general there is no need to wash your hair every single day. Even a gentle cleanser can strip out the healthy oils and take away your natural shine. Not my shine! NOOOOO!!

In case you don’t speak drama queen, I’m saying don’t over wash. I usually go every other day or even two days in-between. I tend to use about a dime size amount, very little, to wash out dirt and oil. If I’ve been wearing a hat or something I might rinse and repeat to get a good lather going for a deep clean.

A friend of mine — who also happens to be a hairstylist — turned me on to this product. Before I was using some pretty generic crap, because I was under the mistaken impression shampoos were all the same. I had used really expensive stuff and really cheap stuff; maybe I just wasn’t paying attention because I hadn’t noticed a difference. With the peppermint cleanse, I do. It smells great and makes my hair feel silky without leaving it limp and lifeless.

While I believe in bargain shopping, there is such a thing as getting what you pay for.

Bluwash Denim Clean Detergent

Saturday, March 8th, 2008 at 8:51 am

This isn’t a typical beauty product, but today’s theme is “wash” and I just love sharing great little finds that make you look better. That’s beauty to me.

I wear jeans just about every single day. It’s totally cool to be casual in Southern California. That is just part of the culture here and I will say my wardrobe reflects an extremely trendy and non-professional individual. Like, whatever!

I noticed some of my favorite jeans were fading and getting weak spots — now there’s a product that’s designed to protect your butt, literally! Bluwash Denim Clean Detergent uses a unique patent pending formula that reduces fading by neutralizing chlorine and other chemicals used to process tap water. Works for all denim colors & wash styles.

The company boasts that “each bottle cleans and revives up to 58 pairs of jeans!” but I don’t know how many loads that equals. I don’t like math. It seems like a lot though.
