Neutrogena’s Wave

I have some good news ladies! We here at B-INO are happy to present to you our weekly beauty product review where I will be the honorable guinea pig and try out whatever new product YOU the readers would like me to try. That way you guys don’t have to worry about the crazy break outs, dry skin, or whatever else these products will do.

I will try a “new” to the market or special request product for two weeks and journal daily how it’s going. Then every Wednesday I will give you a detailed review on how well it worked, or didn’t. Please feel free to email me with any requests, concerns, or cool ideas.

Now that I have that out of the way, let me bring you the review for Neutrogena’s Wave. It’s a brand new product that has a lot of competition from other company’s like Dove. We are all familiar with the vibrating toothbrush? Well now we have a vibrating facial cleansing um… thingy. They say it cleans 10x’s better then you can with your hands and I have to agree it does. It also makes your face feel tingly, because Neutrogena added menthol to their cleaning pads. Here’s the 411.

The Wave comes with the little gizmo, two weeks supply of cleansing pads, and a AA battery. First off I have to say I was a little worried because I have dry skin and the last thing I want to do is use some cleanser that I know nothing about. But I did it and so far so good. I can’t rave about it, or anything which means you guys will have to decide if the Pro’s out weigh the Con’s. Lets see…

Pros.

  • It really does clean as well as it promises.
  • It leaves your skin feeling super smooth and soft.
  • It’s easy to use and convenient to take with you if you’re traveling.
  • The Wave comes in 3 different colors, Pink, Green, and Blue.
  • It naturally and gently exfoliates.

Cons:

  • The pads come with the cleanser already in them. Which means there is no difference for dry skin or oily.
  • The pads. You have to dispose of them every time you use one. So if your environmentally concerned this probably isn’t the best product for you.
  • The pads. LOL. I know I’ve said that like three times, but you get the idea. A month supply of cleansing pads will set you back $7.19.
  • It doesn’t take care of cleaning the eyes. I tried and it was a no go.

Because what company’s put into their cleansers is a big deal I’ve included the ingredient list for you to decide whether or not it’s the right product for you.

Glycerin, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, PEG 8, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Decyl Glucoside, Lauryl Methyl Gluceth 10 Hydroxypropyl Dimonium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Citric Acid, Salicylic Acid, Menthol, Fragrance

Overall I have to say the product works well, it’s compact and very cute. I have relatively dry sensitive skin and it didn’t break me out, or cause me to be overly dry. I was on the fence with this one until last night right before I wrote this review I used it one more time and that one more time cinched the deal. After I washed my skin I looked into the mirror and saw shiny happy skin that wasn’t red, splotchy, or angry. For me it’s a keeper.

Have any of you used the Wave or a like product? What did you think? Any tips or tricks?

Cost: $12.59
