Skin: Omega-3 Fatty Acids & Green Tea

I was sitting here late at night thinking of a product that I love and would recommend when out of the corner of my eye I see my vitamin bottles. I know it’s not a “traditional” beauty product, but in the end it’s probably the single best thing you can do for your health and skin next to drinking a ton of water.

If your fans of Oprah, Dr. Oz, or “Origins” then you know by now that Green Tea is very important for healthy YOUNG looking skin. Now before you go buy some green tea and drink 8 cups, a reminder that the caffeine in the Green Tea at high doses will make you jittery and of course caffeine dehydrates you. So try drinking 1 cup pf green tea and heading over to your local Trader Joe’s to buy their Green Tea Extract.

Onto Omega-3 Fatty Acids. Omega-3’s generally come from fish, although you can get a good amount from Walnuts. My general problem with “naturally” getting the Omega-3’s is I don’t like fish. At all. Weird? Yes. But still the fact remains there is no fish in my diet. Because I know, like most of you, that fish is important I headed to my trusty Trader Joe’s and bought their store brand Omega-3 Fatty Acids. The bottle comes with 1200mg of fish oil, 600 mg of total EPA & DHA (that’s important to look for), and best of all it’s odorless. So you wont have to burp up fish oil later. Just so you know before I took the odorless I was using the “regular” kind and I would burp through out the day. Let me tell you, fish and bananas… not so good.

Cost: Green Tea Extract $8.38, Omega-3’s Fatty Acid $10.65.
