Reader Review:Bare Escentuals Get Started Kit

The Bare Escentuals Get Started Kit is so easy to apply I can do it in the dark at 5am when I get ready for work! Three easy steps, one for each power, and I feel transformed. It smooths out blemishes and does not look at all powdery. Your face looks vibrant and healthy. The first powder is a base, the next one in a bronzer and the third one (which is actually optional) is a ‘mineral veil’ that just softens and blends the whole look together. The best part about this product is that you never feel like you’re wearing make up- it isn’t heavy AT ALL, and it’s actually good for your skin. You can sleep in it and it won’t make you break out or anything. It’s a great product and I seriously couldn’t live without it!

Skin: Boots No7 Restore & Renew Serum

Instead of reinventing the wheel, I am going to direct you over to Second City Style, my friend Lauren’s website which is super fabulous. This girl knows her stuff. I spent the entire day with her interviewing the stylist from Desperate Housewives (ok so it was more like 3 hours, but it felt like forever) and she told me this stuff was amazing! And wait… it’s available at TARGET and CVS! And WAIT… it’s under $22 bucks! Do you hear what I’m saying?! It makes your skin feel like butter and she can’t get enough of it.

Dying
to
try
it

PurseBuzz is the only YouTube account I subscribe to. I just LOVE it. Truth be told, I haven’t been daring enough to try any of her hairstyles. But at least I know HOW! :) Here is one of the many videos available online. Be sure to check out the rest of her videos on her YouTube channel. Click on the video to see m ore.

Sabon NYC

I’m not sure if Sabon NYC is awesome, or if the company just holds special meaning to me because my husband brought me a basket filled with their goodies while I was hospitalized with my second child. All I know is, every time I pass the store while walking Roosevelt Field Mall in Long Island, I get a little teary eyed.

Their lotions and potions are TO DIE FOR. Everything he got me I loved. EVERYTHING! I just wanted to put their store on your radar should you be in the market for something a little extravagant. No cheap finds here - so be warned.

Skin: Arbonne’s NutriMinC RE9 REstoring Mist, Balancing Toner

Thursday, February 21st, 2008 at 9:28 am

arboneton.jpg

I am llaaaazzzzzyyyy. I have NO cleaning regime. I wish I was that girl that woke up every morning, pulled out several lotions and potions and got to work. But just the thought of that makes me exhausted. Too. Much. Effort. So when a friend invited me to an Arbonne party, and I saw a toner that you spritz on, I was SOLD. No cotton balls, no taking off the cap (yes, I’m that lazy)… nothing. Pick it up, spray that bad boy and apply moisturizer. LOVE IT!

Convenient, pH correct, toning mist removes final traces of cleanser and restores balance for maximum moisture retention. Visibly tones, firms and smoothes skin’s surface while key RE9 elements protect against oxidative stress and environmental aging factors.

Cost: $33

Click to purchase NutriMinC® RE9 REstoring Mist, Balancing Toner. Sorry it isn’t on Amazon. I try to get everything in one place that way if you are interested, you could save on shipping. This is only from the company itself.
